Dealing With “Urrrrrrg Moments.

When it comes to what I want in a man, I can be very critical. He has to be tall, fair (not dark, cos I know alot of sisters want TDH but not me. I want TFH) and handsome. He also has to have a nice smile, gap or half teeth, good sense of humor and sociable. Okay let me pause right here before you'll think I'm describing Yul Edochie (well there's no denying I had a crush on him)

Though over the years, I have tried to tone this trait down. But I can’t help thinking, ‘can I deal with a man that is so, so unorganized and scattered?’ It just brings out the “Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrg” in me. Can’t take it! Lol.

Certain situations in my life right now have made me to wonder if God is preparing me to deal with an unorganized man/situation. One of them is my little cousin. She can be adorkable but when it comes to organization and stuff like that, the “Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrg” moment kicks in.  Before I met, I never knew someone could exhibit such before; now I know first-hand. I have tried and tried and tried to reach out but all my efforts have landed in the gutter. Sometimes, I choose to ignore her habits all together so that I wouldn’t be bothered by whatever she does.

Let me tell you a story so you can have a better view of the situation.
There was a day she decided to eat her food in her room, so she took it there. Days later, I was sweeping the house, and I went to her room to sweep it (sweeping her room can be a tug of war for the both of us). Guess what I found smiling at me from underneath her bed? None other than the plate and cup she used to eat the other day (no kidding).

Salome (that’s her name) would not do anything out of her own initiative if she isn’t told, well except of course to eat and take a pee. She can leave broken glass scattered on the floor for someone else to see or probably step on it, and as long as you don’t tell her to gather and park it, don’t count on her to do it. The kitchen can be on fire with her in the know, meanwhile, she’s in the living room watching TV without doing anything or informing someone about it, cos it hasn’t been mentioned to her to put out the fire. Lol! Okay, I was exaggerating there.

She drives me nuts sometimes to the extent of laughter; I mean, what other option do I have cos it is amusing to see someone in such element. Sometimes she does some things that are mind boggling and it leaves you wondering if she must have been high on H2O or something (btw, she loves to drink water like a fish). She’s still my “little Cuz” any day, anytime, and I love her! Some mothers really do have them.

So here’s the question of the day: Can you live with someone who is unorganized and nonchalant? And how have you been able to cope with that person?

As for me, I know how I’ll deal with the situation – pull a Kim Kardashian –and- Kris Humpries – 72 – day- marriage on the situation.

Lol, just kidding! Just so you know, I am anti-divorce and I wouldn’t wish it for even my enemy. But you can sound off in the comments.

No NO!

Happy New Month Darlings!
I probably should be saying “Happy New Year” since it’s my first in the year and for, well, over 3months but I will shy away from saying it cause that will make me a late ******* (Lol). Come to think of it, we all know what this month represents, especially the first day, but I hope none you my darlings were fooled?

So I just wanted to share a few things from a book I’ve been reading recently. I believe we all need a little encouragement every now and then, especially as women so I’m hoping this post will be inspirational to someone. Do have a wonderful year and always remember to be creative with your year, yes, your YEAR!
Read on for excerpts from the book:-

Henry Ward Beecher was a young boy in school when he learned a lesson in self- confidence which he never forgot. He was called upon to recite in front of the class. He had hardly begun when the teacher interrupted with an emphatic, “No!” He started over and again the teacher thundered, “NO!’ Humiliated, Henry sat down
The next boy rose to recite and had just begun when the teacher shouted, “No! This student, however, kept on with the recitation until he completed it. As he sat down, the teacher responded, “Very good!”

Henry was irritated. “I just recited as he did, “he complained to the teacher. But the instructor replied, “It is not enough to know your lesson, you must be sure. When you allowed me to stop you, it meant that you were uncertain. If the entire world says “No!’ it is your business to say, ‘Yes!’ and prove it.”

The world says, “No!” in a thousand ways:
“No! You can’t do that.”
“No! You are wrong.”
“No! You are too old.”
No! You are too young.”
No! You are too weak.”
No! It will never work.”
No! You don’t have an education.”
“No! You don’t have a background.”
“No! You don’t have the money.”
No! It can’t be done.”

And each “No!” you hear has the potential to erode your confidence bit by bit until you quit altogether. You just need to be bold enough to say “Yes!” when the world says, “No!”

The world might even say, “No! You can’t do that, you’re a woman.”  The war between women and Satan got its start in the Garden of Eden and has not stopped. Satan hates women because it was a woman who gave birth to Jesus and it is Jesus who has defeated Satan. However don’t think that just because the devil is against you that success is out of your reach. The devil may be against you, but God is for you and with Him on your side you absolutely can’t lose. You just need to be bold enough to say “Yes!” when the world says, “No!”

DIPLOMACY

The Ambassador of Nigeria to Nicaragua is in town! Oh, forget it, that’s just me trying to tell a lie. But I think we should have an ambassador to Nicaragua(if we don’t already have one) or some other exotic country/island, don’t y’all think so? Don’t you ever wonder how ambassadors carry out their duties? Do you feel like they don’t represent your country enough in other nations? Quite some questions on diplomacy right? People even study diplomatic relations in the university, which is awesome.

Diplomacy is good but it can ruin things sometimes. Someone described diplomacy as the ability to tell someone to go to hell in such a way that they’ll look forward to the trip. Hmmmm………… I don’t know about that one o! Lol.

I pride myself in my diplomatic skills, like no one can do it better than me. It’s bad that these skills have dealt me terrible slaps to the face a few times but all the same it’s good. Sometimes, all you want to do is salvage a situation but you end up hurting the people you’re trying to protect, the ones you love the most. Oh boy! I don see sheigae. Ok, I digress a little

I wanted to do a business transaction with my friend for my mum (two people I love). My mum was not understanding the terms of the business anymore and even when I tried to explain to her how it is, she didn’t get any of it cos new things came up prior to what was discussed. My friend too did not understand because my mum didn’t understand. It’s confusing right? Well just ask the Holy Spirit to explain to you, maybe you’ll understand better (lol).

Since time wasn’t on our side, we had to call off the deal so we don’t end up with bad blood (talk about mixing business with pleasure).

Diplomacy is not for the faintest of hearts.
