Security and Superheroes

FAMILY, what would we ever do without them. They make us laugh, cry, love and live. With them we always feel secure.

Talking of security, I have been watching a lot of movies on national security (Hollywood movies I must add) and they are quite interesting. Please don’t ask me the title of the movies cos……..

Anyway, I did enjoy the thrill, the suspense and the adrenaline rush I got from watching them. As the greatest nation on earth, I can understand why Hollywood puts out films revolving around themes that touch on national security. With all the intelligence they showcase and information they give out in these films, I begin to wonder if it isn’t too much. I hope someone doesn't use all that info against them.

 In other matters, “Thor” is like my best superhero. He is so strong, cocky and sexy. To me, none of the other superheroes match up to him.

 Who even wants to try? Is it superman, or Hulk, or, Batman, or Spider man, or who self? While you are still thinking and debating, let me state that my best human hero is James bond. Don’t let me start on all of his qualities. There have been raves about his recent movie- “Sky-fall”. I am yet to watch it and boy; I’m I so looking forward to watching it. I sort of have this weird feeling that this recent installment in the series might be the last of the James Bond story. Funny isn’t it? Well maybe not the end of the James Bond installment but maybe the end for Daniel Craig as 007.

 Now this is even getting weirder than I thought (I hear you say). Please, Dear Daniel Craig, I have NOTHING against you, but this is just a feeling I got, or maybe I have watched too many national security films.

Let me hush here before things get weirdest (hope I got that right- ‘weirdest’, I mean).

Hahaha, guess you are wondering what that word means, well let’s just say it’s the name I choose to call the wonderful people in my blog zone, lol.

So, who has seen Tuface Idibia’s two new homes? If you haven’t seen them, just surf through the major Nigerian gossip blogs and you’ll have an idea. To be honest when I saw the pictures of the R & B singer’s houses, I had a mini heart attack, or maybe not (Lol). I have one adjective for those houses – Smokin’ Hot! However, I wish he would show us some inside pictures of the houses cos it sure looks beautiful on the outside, kind of like something out of the pages of a magazine.

Before I could even recover from the pictures of Tuface’s houses, more pictures emerged. This time of Fuji singer, Wasiu Ayinde’s house. I literally went into a coma.

The property of the 55year old singer consist of four buildings, including a seven bedroom main house, an eight room guest house, a gym, a recording studio, a swimming pool, a masive guest house, a music recording studio, a praying arena, and a staff quaters. That's about 20 rooms in total. 

Our Nigerian Singers are really doing well for themselves. No matter the genre of music you sing, there is a place for everybody to excel.

The 24 year old NFL quarterback who has been single forever, was sported yesterday hanging out with a celebrity date and TMZ has got all the details.

This is however UNCONFIRMED but according to TMZ; “ Tim and Camilla Belle showed up at Latitude 30 Jacksonville, Florida Tuesday night, where they bowled and partied……. People who were at Latitude 30 last night tell us Tim and Camilla were overly affectionate throughout the evening, holding hands and touching.”

Camilla Belle, an actress whose roles include “10,000 B.C” and “The Chumscrubber”, has been linked to Robert Pattinson and Joe Jonas. According to The Hollywood Gossip, she is the one Joe left Taylor Swift for. So apparently, we’ve got Miss Belle to blame for Miss Swift’s vengeful songs worth three albums.

Well Tebow, who has been linked in the media to everyone from Taylor Swift to Lolo Jones, has denied such claims, but this is the first time the media is willing to say that he has a ladyfriend.

Well let’s hope she doesn’t trade him for Mark Sanchez

No mistaking of identity here! Kendall Kardas……. Oh sorry, I meant to say Jenner, says so (not literally though).

Not wanting to be mistaken for a Kardashian, the Keeping up with the Kardashians’ star, 16 was captioned as saying the above statement while posing as a cover girl for the fall edition of  Genlux Magazine.

Following in the footsteps of her half sisters, Kendall and her younger sister, Kylie, 14 are paring up with Majestic mills to create their own teen fashion line.

Wishing on a Wishbone

I just can’t seem to get it out of my head. I’m seriously trying to expel this thought but it seems to stick to a small part of my memory.  If you are wondering what it is, I won’t keep you from knowing.

I came back home after more than a month in the hospital and a lot of people kept quizzing me about how fat I’ve become! I have always nursed an ambition to put on a lil’ weight so I could look bigger. The songwriter was right after all when he said:

“Be careful what you wish for, cos you might just get it all”

My ambition was based on the fact that I’m petite, not just an ordinary petite girl but one that looks 10years younger than her age! It’s very easy to confuse me to be a high school student, I mean, I look that young. The other day, I was in a bus and I asked a woman sitting close to me a question about a particular university, and she asked me if I just got admission to study there. You can imagine. I get this kind of quizzical look whenever I tell people my age or my educational qualification and a lot of them will be like: “small girl like you don finish school?” That’s what I face every waking day of my life. But what’s a girl to do?

So I kept trying for years to gain a few pounds of weight to no avail, so I gave up and sort of got used to people looking at me and assuming me to be “this small girl in senior secondary school”.

Now that I have my wish, I’m dissatisfied and worried. I guess I could call it Life. Recently, I had an ironic experience:

I attended a special program at church with my family and I got to catch up with a lot of my friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. I also got to see some of my little friends whom I use to knock on the head and send them on errands. It turned out that these “my little friends” are all big and grown up with some even taller and looking older than me! I just couldn’t stop shouting and telling my friends: “I don dey old oh!”

Let me leave you with this advice: Be comfortable in your skin, no matter how you are or how you look, find yourself and get comfortable!
